Like a river rafting trip, the journey of faith is an activity best shared with friends.  We recommend getting into a group very early in your time at Horizons, so you can develop a sense of belonging with others and explore faith and life with them.

 

HOME groups

Most of our HOME groups (Homes Open for Ministry and Encouragement) meet twice a month.  A few meet weekly.  See the list below for our current groups. 

 

Jumping into one of these groups is easier than you might think; new people are welcomed!  And then every fall we form several new groups, which is also a great way to get started.

 

And we want you to know that you’re not locked into just one HOME group for life.  Many of us have been a part of a few different groups over the years. 

 

Disciple Bible Study

Or you can join a Disciple Bible Study.  These life-changing study groups follow a curriculum that begins in January, takes a break during the summer, and then resumes in late August before ending in early December.  Once you’ve taken the first year of Disciple One, you’re ready to sign up for Two, Three or Four. 

 

Who can I talk to?

You can either call the office (420-6600), send us an email (info@horizonschurch.org), or check on your communication card on Sunday morning that you’re interested in a “small group for adults.”  Melanie Nunez volunteers as the director for our HOME groups, and Cindy Green and Melanie Peters do the same for our Disciple Bible Study groups.  They would be delighted to visit with you and help you find a group that is just the right fit for you.
