Lunch with the pastor and staff
Every couple of months we host a lunch following the 11 a.m. service for people who would like to get a little better acquainted. We usually start at about 12:15 p.m. in the atrium, and it only lasts an hour. There you’ll get to meet our pastor and a couple other staff, and if you have questions, that would be a great time to ask them. But mostly it’s not about information; it’s about building relationships which are so important to life at Horizons.

Dinner for Eight

At certain times of the year Horizons offers Dinner for Eight groups where people can sign up to meet with the same group of eight for dinner once a month for four months. This is a social gathering where we bring together people who may not know each other but might have some things in common. Vital Christianity – Vital Membership (membership class) 
Five times a year our pastor offers this class, and its purpose is to lead you through the basics of the Christian faith and let you know what it means to make the membership covenant at Horizons. Because time for interaction is built into each session, it’s a great way to meet others who are new to our church.

The class is offered in different formats. One is a weeknight format, where you can take the class one evening a week for four weeks. The other is a weekend format, where you can take the entire class in one weekend: half of it on Saturday morning and the other half on Sunday afternoon. Confirmation Class (membership class for youth)

Each year Horizons offers a class specifically designed for eighth grade youth that guides them through the basics of the Christian faith. Our aim is to prepare young people to be lifelong followers of Jesus Christ.
