If you are seeking a place to begin your spiritual journey, or if you are looking for a new church home, we invite you to encounter Christ with us. Here are some ways that can happen.
Sunday worship-celebration
Whether you’re just curious about faith or a solid believer, a great place to begin is with our Sunday worship-celebration. Our hope is that it becomes an encounter with God that you experience and take home with you.
Once a month we offer Holy Communion and make it the focal point of that service. True to our United Methodist heritage, we welcome all who come willing to repent of their sins and who desire new life through faith in Jesus Christ. You do not have to be a member of our church or any church to receive the bread and cup.
Sunday service times are 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. Our nursery and kids’ classes run at the same times. If you would like to view a recent Sunday sermon or one of our other videos, please click here.
Experiencing God through prayer
Each Sunday morning you’ll find in your program an insert inviting you to write down any prayer request you may have, which can be turned in after the first few songs. Our prayer team will pray for you all during the week.
If you would like to have someone pray for you immediately following the service, a volunteer from our prayer team would love to do that. That person will be located on the north side of the room by the window, wearing a prayer team name badge.
If you have an urgent prayer need during the week, a prayer request can be sent to our email prayer list. Due to privacy concerns, we can only publish information you submit about yourself, your spouse, or your dependent children. If you would like to submit a prayer request for the email list, please send it to info@HorizonsChurch.org, or call the office at 420-6600.
Cross-Generation Celebration
About four Sunday mornings a year we invite the kids three years and up to join the adults in the worship center for a Cross-Generation Celebration. Most of the songs selected are familiar to both the children and the adults, and we incorporate plenty of participatory elements in the service to keep us engaged--whatever our age.
We do this because we believe that being the church shouldn’t always be a segregated experience. We are “one body in Christ,” and it crosses all barriers.
